I am going to see Rusko later tonight in Houston

hopefully it will be cool. Rusko isn't that great imo but I'm sure there will be other dubstep DJs there spinning that crazy shit



It's at Stereo Live/Bar Rio tonight in Houston. Pretty sure you can buy tickets at the door for like $15 if you're over 21

I envy you cause I have seen few dubstep shows

Excision Shambhala 2009 track was amazing!!

Haven't heard 2010 yet and I refuse to listen until I get some good head phones or speakers.

Rusko is good but to me that is more pop/dubstep.  I missed him when he came to Cleveland last year :mad:

Him and benga are scene whores.  They are very poor at music production in comparison to the rest of the dubstep artists out there but they are always playing shows and getting attention.

Nice, did Rusko play a good set? I've seen him 3 times and the only time I could enjoy it was at Nocturnal. I just hate that he plays a song for only a minute or so and then backspins to silence and talks on the mic for a little bit. I want the DJ to have a fluid set with quality beatmatching, MCing should just be done over the music. that being said, looks you guys had an awesome time

I was actually just at a rave last night at the Funplex in Houston. :tongue2:

I love life. and I love parties. And I go to a lot of them, so I have some idea of which parties have which pros and which cons. the rusko set could have been worse, and it could definitely have been better too.

Back the Phuture, the other rave he mentioned, was probably much sicker than rusko

Rusko's sets are usually pretty shitty, so he was actually being optimistic :lol:

Back to the phuture was pretty fun. Unfortunately they didn't rent out the entire funplex, but it was still lots of good music with fairly good vibes. The Houston scene is an interesting one; a big melding pot of different flavors.

I just wanna chime in and say that Bassnectar in miami fri night was fucking nuts.  I honestly dont really like dubstep all that much, but BN is something else:awecid:
