In VA, the liquor stores are closed sunday too, but beer is always good til midnight.

yeah cant buy cold beer anywhere but a LQ store... They are tryin to change that and i hear they are tryin to change the sunday thing... I do drink somewhat often but it seems like fuckin sunday is always the day i try to get smashed... fuck this state i miss florida :crazy:

seriously!? is indiana run by mormons or what? i thought it sucked not being able to by liquor in a grocery store, or at any time past 7pm. at least i can buy on sunday!

Yeah i dont know WTF is goin on here. U can buy bottles of whiskey in a grocery store... but not cold beer... and nothing on sunday... its really stupid. So i should go out to a bar (before midnight) and drive home drunk? geh.... its like they encourage drunk driving... Not that i do that... cuz i dont

Where are you that you can't buy liquor past 7pm???

In Tennessee the only thing you can buy at gas stations/grocery stores is beer.  Wine and Liquor you must buy at a Liquor Store.  Liquor Stores are closed on sunday.  Beer may only be sold after noon on Sunday.

And I thought MY state had some fucked up laws.... I'm glad I'm not where yall are!

Oregon, you can legally buy liquor until 2am I think so you can go to the bars. The liquor stores all close at 7pm where I live though.

Go to a microbrewery. A new law passed last month or so that lets you buy beer in growlers and carry out on Sunday. Yeah!

I don't drink alcohol much, but something about them prohibiting the sale of alcohol on sundays makes me want to drink even more!

Connecticut fuckin sucks too. Liquor stores are closed on sunday and grocery stores and convenience stores are not allowed to sell beer on sundays (our grocery stores and convenience stores can only carry beer. liquor and wine is only available at "package/liquor stores").

our liquor stores close at 9pm, and only a couple years ago it was 8pm. also, grocery/convenience stores can't sell beer after 9.

stupid ancient religious laws about what you can and can't do on a sunday. wtf ever happened to the separation of church and state?  we've had numerous legislations attempt to change this law, but so far the only progress made was extending the hours from 8pm to 9pm.

evidently, a lot of liquor store owners don't want to do away with the laws because they don't want to have to work on sundays.. but clearly, its up to the individual store to decide whether to open on sundays or not.  most liquor stores here still close at 8pm during the week and only stay open til 9pm on friday and saturday.
