Not a fan of what I've heard. I LOVE some good dub reggae though. King Tubby, Lee Scratch Perry, whatever. it's good stuff. I just don't really get the dubstep I've heard.

I introduced my friend to dubstep. He had never heard of it before. He said he was happy to learn that he didn't have to listen to ignorant rap to get his bass :smile:.

I enjoy dubstep.

I find it odd that dubstep seems to be getting so much attention lately. I here it is popular in the Philly area, Pittsburg area, and I believe I heard this of NC as well. In NYC Hardstyle seems to be the most popular EDM genre. Dubstep is great for just chilling and relaxing, not so much for dancing.

Hardstyle is nowhere near as popular as trance, house, or techno in NYC, though it does have a decent sized scene.  Also, lots of people dance to dubstep, just go to a Bassnectar show.

Dubstep is awesome for dancing... you just have to actually know how to improvise dancing. you cant really standardize a single dubstep dance cuz the time signatures are more unconventional than what people are used to

The fans are typically douche bags who don't pay attention to whats around them.
