Artist's Conks

Hey folks, I normally live in Georgia but was up in New York a couple days ago. I've never found Ganoderma applanatum in Georgia, but found them in extreme abundance in central New York.
Has anyone found any monstrous ones? These were in mostly secondary growth forest, there were a couple fallen big trees though.






















I also got video of spores being blown out of the bigger one, I'll try and post it (it looks like little wisps of smoke going out of the bottom).

That bug is wild looking...almost looks like he has a bill. What county did you find these in?

Yeah, the beetle had a distinctly Gungan (Star Wars) face.

They were found in Cayuga County, no more than two kilometers west (i think?) of the lake itself.

i found some monsters the other, not quite as big as herbs tho!!and i found this beauty!
