We are not very evolved.

Humans are not very evolved at all. We may think we are evolved but that's only relative to other creatures on this planet. We rely on technology to SLOWLY and very erroneously show us things we could easily understand if we just delved deep enough into our minds. Humans, and all of Earth, are extremely unevolved.

(Btw I'm high on quite a bit of Jack Herrer and I'm understanding and realizing good things.._

the fact that we can imagine shit and i can control my third eye is pretty evolved, and sayin we are not very evolved assumes there's an endpoint to evolution.

Seems to me the OP has a point. Even monkeys don't enslave each other. We just have more toys.

Yup this is pretty much all we're talking about... Comparing us to everything we know for a fact exists we are obviously the most evolved

We're about as evolved as we'll ever be. We've evolved to the point where our technology and population growth has allowed planetary destruction to become a very realistic contingency. Unless say aliens intervene and prevent that, we'll never make it much further in the scheme of evolution.

Well I suppose you raise an interesting point, however I'd argue it's in our best interest to work as a collective and make the most of every human's potential. Those with the most money and resources are hardly the most intelligent. And while scientists in all different spectrums of salary may be making efforts to benefit humanity, even their research bows to the whims of their investors. How much effort is wasted on pharmaceuticals that are a burden, if not toxic, to the mind? All in the pursuit of profit, not the evolution of man. How many people are making minimum wage because they were born into a society where education is a privilege?

I'm not going to get into a "gimme all your money and feed the poor" rant, but it would be to our mutual benefit to breed more great minds and less worker drones. But that would cut into profits; this is not an evolved way of thinking.

Why breed 1,000 slaves to build monuments? Why breed 10,000 drones to serve you your coffee? Why breed 1 billion children screaming "feed me" just to beat them off with a stick and reply "I've got mine get your own" when you have the means to provide them with an education that will prevent their self-perpetuated breeding, starvation, and general squalor? Mountains of potential are lost because some meaningless, intangible concept of "power" means more to humans than the progress and mutual advancement of our own species. That is not evolved.

Even cannibalistic insects sacrifice one to breed an entire generation. Humanity sacrifices itself to appease the 1% with 90% of the wealth.

I mean shit, we could probably train monkeys to flip burgers and serve coffee. Or just build robots. I hardly think we need 6 billion people just to remind us that the other few million of us are "doing okay." Some might look at those people and say they have nothing to contribute to society. But I want them to have something to contribute, and I believe that mindset is a lot more productive, evolved and beneficial to our species than single-minded greed. Whether or not we have to be nice in the process... well I suppose that's still up for debate.

I disagree. Humans are pretty damn great. The problem isn't with the species, it's with the society.

Less molly-coddling, more Darwinism. I'm not saying hunt down the stupid and put them to sleep, but stop going out of our way to protect them from themselves. Stop making people live miserable lives where they can't even manage to wipe their own asses just because we have some idea that everyone should be saved. It just isn't right.

Just let nature take it's course.
