What about just spray painting a line down the side of the car?

What about taking sand paper and rubbing the windows?  Just the frond windshield and a deep scratch on the drivers door.

I think this is the best route.  It would need to be done at night or in a secluded place.

Has anyone tried this before?

That's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard. Nobody is going to give a shit about that story, and I doubt they'll tell anyone except maybe their spouse when they get home.
