didn't like their newer efforts as much as the first or second album but still... need to keep up the work. or they disbanded by now? either way. they are a great band.

They are on a hiatus. Serj is doing his band. Daron had a band and released an album but is taking a break from that last I heard. Shavo is is doing achozen with the wu-tang clan and some other people. John has a comic book shop full of his rare collectibles.

Love SOAD, though I'm glad they took a timeout when they did - I didn't really like the direction their sound was going in, even though I did love a lot of songs on Hypnotize. I just didn't understand why they were positioning Daron more and more as the lead vocalist. Why would you forgo such a unique and powerful vocalist as Serj for a great guitarist with a whiny obnoxious voice?

i agree i loved theyre older stuff more
it was basically the sound track for my 4th-7th grades
i used to walk around the playground of my elementry school with my 20 dollar cd player singing i want to FUCK my way to the garden cause everyone needs a motherFUCKER

edit:
i do like some of serj's new solo work though
empty walls
praise the lord and pass the ammunition
and unthinking majority come to mind

serj is the only mainstream artist with a name like..well...serj.

we all know who you're talking about.

i liked him alot in soad, and although his new stuff is good, its not my style at all. very operatic.
