Couldn't possibly pick just one. I could maybe pick one song from each album, but each album is good for a different mood.

Some of my favorites are Closer, The Downward Spiral, Slightly Damaged, and everything on "Broken" (which I like to play at high volume to psychologically torture some of my weaker-willed friends when they misbehave). Survivalism isn't bad.

I'm gonna listen to NIN when I get home from work.

Weird, just last night I decided to download their discography after years of not listening to them. Was pretty into them when I was a kid.

It's hard to pick a favorite song but all of Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral are great. Their later stuff is kind of hit or miss, and in my opinion The Fragile was his last good album.

PHM and With Teeth are the only two I haven't properly listened to. PHM is too synthpoppy for me and With Teeth is just... kinda... I dunno, boring?

I like Year Zero, though. It doesn't resonate with me now like it did during the Bush years, but musically it's solid, and it's good to hear Trent's rage go extroverted rather than introverted like usual.

The Fragile is great, though there are a lot of skippable songs on it IMO.

Ive been listening  to a lot of NIN this week its been a bad week.
I consider anyone who plays all the instruments on an album/ writes all the music respectable considering all the shit thats out there. Sorry sorta out of it.

But if you like NIN check out fetus(older then NIN)  a bit heavier/ different but still just one guy doing it all much like trent just not with his talent

I really think if you listen to With Teeth he wasn't sure if it was going to fun writing music sober; but then he exploded with YZ, Ghosts, and the Slip (also, cool he just let people d/l it."This one's on me." :thumbup: )



PS I've had had to pay more than $50 to get good seats at a NIN concert. :smile: I love Trent Reznor.

I love With Teeth, but you can just feel he's hesitating to say something powerful. Cept a few songs (Right Where It Belongs.)

But shit, In This Twilight from YZ blows about every song on WT out of the water.

It was all powerful stuff about being plain, and human, and getting set "free" of bounds. Earlier CDs deal with things like egomania, suicide, depression, going on after death, etc. The stuff after WT is strange, but very good.

(I would like to say these are the interpretations I get from the music, I'm not saying it is fact. That is the beauty of music.:smile: )
