Challenge.
    #12779010 -

Alright I have a bottle of whine and seems my corkscrew has went missing. Who knows of a way you can open a bottle of wine with out one? Help me I'm going to die if I don't get my wine. Also would like to point out I'm not driving to the store to get one, that's not challenging. I've heard it can be done so get to the solution shroomery.

find a screw, screw it into cork.  use pliers to pull screw and remove cork.

I saw someone open one like the shoe method. You take a kitchen towel and fold it thick. Tap on the brick wall outside your house or on the cement. I think it has to be horizontal, not sure. It does have to be a solid surface. You will see it rise and when it is out of the opening enough pull it out.

I didn't think it would work because the threads on the only screw I had around the house had some very close threads.

the design of a modern corkscrew is mainly focused on not getting cork in the wine.
if you look back at some early corkscrews they had more of a screw or drill design

I don't want to band my shoe on the wall for 5 minutes is the only reason I didn't. Using a tree isn't an option as I live on a busy road and would probably get harassed by cops. Where I live if you're outside your house you see at least 1 cop every minute and they harass the shit out of me at least once a month.
