I shoot with a Canon 40D....started out with the original Rebel way back in the day.  I'll shoot anything that interests me, but I love macro photography.

A few of my favorites.  Imageshack ruins the quality, but you get the idea

Honestly, I'd say it is a combination of the good optics (lenses), shooting in RAW file format in combination with processing in Lightroom/Photoshop, and perhaps a bit of know-how.  If there is a certain look I angle towards - it is the slightly desaturated, high contrast 'retro' look.  It's like the spirit of 70's film photography with the 'clean and detailed' modern look of today.  I sound like an f'ing stoner.  :jointsmile:

Have you played around with cross processing?  I just discovered it a few months ago and the results are fucking awesome.  You get a super clean retro look in the end.

Hey, I enjoyed your macros man - I like the fly especially; I like to carry my camera everywhere as well.  I have done some cross processed 'looks' in the recent past - I enjoy the results as well; it adds some flavor, especially to low-light stuff it seems.  Here are a few:

I consider myself a budding amateur photographer. Let me know if any of these have potential. I need to get a decent camera to get the effects you have obtained. I feel I have an eye for it.

LOL, I went to nursing school with them. I like the contrast of the really tan one and the almost albino one. Both hotties! I could have done the blond, but I am into older, chubby, teddy bear gay men. :shrug:

Yeah, I sometimes snap a pic as well. Not as often as I should, but oh well. Mostly I use a Canon 20d, but I've also used Mamiya stuff (Z-series 35mm and 645) and some analog Canon gear.













I like to do all my shooting sober, btw. Post processing is usually a different story though.

I'm not going to put up any photos since I'm paranoid, but I have been published and all that jazz.  I'm quite experienced in macro, artificial lighting, nature shots in general, weddings, etc.  If anyone has questions feel free to ask ::smile:

Did/do you enjoy doing weddings? I always _hated_ them. Otherwise, I could probably have made a living out of photography.
