I make a habit of watching it at least once a year. That's ample time to not get burned out by it and still enjoy the movie every time I watch.

I watched it the first time and understand the plot just fine (to my knowledge) I'm sure there are some hidden symbols in it that I missed.

The theme of soul mates in this film makes me feel...Nice.

Just thinking about it makes my eyes tear up, don't ask me why, it's fun being an emotional wreck!

I also noticed a bunch of stuff I missed after my first viewing which weren't pertinent to the main plot.

Yeah, the plot isn't hard to pick up on at all. It's just a pretty visually complex movie, but the plot is pretty straightforward.

It's not like Memento where you have to watch it half a dozen times and still don't know what the fuck is going on until someone clues you in...

YES!

Don't expect to understand it the first time though. But here's a little hint that's not a spoiler that will help you enjoy the movie for the first time.

The black and white scenes are the beginning of the story to the middle. The color scenes start at the end of the story and work their way to the middle.

So in effect, the middle of the story is actually the end of the movie.

one of my girlfriends favs. She said most people who watch it need to see it a few times to figure it out.

I called it 1/3 way through. really not too hard to figure out, for me at least. seemed typical. good movie though.

I loved that movie. I always kind of related it to me and my ex, so it wouldn't be fun to watch anymore.

I didn't think it was sad at all.  I thought it was perfect.  I mean, how else could it have ended without the integrity of the characters being compromised?
