craigslist scam? * 1

I am trying to sell my DJ system on craigslist, and I Got this response:

"Hi,
I'm glad it's still for sale. I'm going on a vacation to London but I
will instruct my assistant to prepare and mail you your payment which
I'm sure you will get it in about 4 - 6 business days. I'll add $20
extra for the delay. Money Order is the means I can pay you with. If
this is acceptable by you, Send me your info i.e full name, mailing
address and your phone number so payment can be mail out immediately.I
will also make arrangement for pick-up which will be after you must
have received and cashed the Money Order.
Awaiting your info

sound like a scam?  something  is fishy to me.

He will write the check for more than the price and want cash back then the check will come back fraudulent 2 months later.

Money orders don't work that way. When you pick up a money order you get straight cash. And the only way to put one through is if they have already put one(CASH what hes paying you) in at the proper location and paid for the transfer fee. I imagine the reason it would take so long is because he does not want to pay the instant transfer fee (which costs less than 20 bucks) but maybe its more for international.

The only info you need for a money order is your name. He will then give you the tracking number. You go in show your id and the tracking number. if the moneys there you get it. If its not they have never heard of it

I say do it only if you get the money first because at that point there are no risks.

Unless of course he just wants your address to break into your house. :lol:( You don't need the address for money transfer only for the pickup for the equipment.)

Make sure you can cash the check. if it doesn't cash out then tell him its all good anyway; he just has to pay for dhl to pick the package up then poop in the box and let dhl take it off.  Reverse scam FTW!

Money Order is a check I believe.  You can pick up at any bank post office or walmart or grocery store.  Western Union or Money Gram you pick up the money.  Not sure how you would scam anyone with money order unless you printed out fake check.  But yeah money order is check you buy can be cashed anywhere and don't have to worry about it bouncing cause its verified.

I the reverse scam i was referring to google scambaiting some funny shit out there by 419 group.

A money order isn't a money transfer dude.
It can be a fake money order.
