Remember when that weird blue spiral appeared in the sky over Norway??  Wow, imagine looking up into the sky and seeing that.

I honestly believe everyone I know appreciates the beauty of the sky. I feel like if there was an amazing sunset or tons of stars visible or something I could say to any friend "Look at the sky right now, it's crazy" and they would agree.

Sure some people do it more frequently than others (I don't do it much) but it just seems to be one of those universally appreciated things.

Whoa. Or an eclipse. I've witnessed one solar eclipse in my life. It was eerie. I couldn't stop staring.

I'd love to see the northern lights one day.

Seeing the northern lights is a dream of mine. I would also love to see an eclipse.

I've seen a solar eclipse. Properly weird, I was like 9 at the time or something. I love looking at the stars and the sky. When there's nice big, fluffly clouds, the really tall ones, I could watch them for ages. After taking ayahuasca, I love looking at clouds.

It's hard not to take for granted when it's there every night, has been there longer than we have been here, and will remain there longer than we will.

I'd say it's one of few things that can be taken for granted.
