Keeping Fruiting Temps Stable or Cooler?
    #1240709 - 01/22/03 05:00 PM (21 years, 1 month ago)

I live in the south, Temps tend to fluctuate here in the winter. I am new and just started growing here in the winter. Temps here have been fine 60-70f. I have been able to keep fruiting chamber at around 72-74f. Things have warmed up a bit and I am seeing temps in fruiting chamber 76-79f. and sometimes spiking to 81f. This is winter and temps will begin to get warmer. The air conditioning will be on soon. But what can I do in the mean time to bring temps down. I see alot of posts of people wanting to bring the temps up in fruiting chamber but not down. I wish I had that problem. Also is there a way to do both when the temperature changes with out my interaction. Thanks.

I shut off the vent when i am heating and it stays about 72 degrees..This only works if your reasearch is in its own room. I use a small heater to keep things from getting to cold. My room gets to 81 degrees sometimes and its not been a problem.

I have a room for this . See this is where I am running in to a problem. I have no problem keeping the temperature above 70f. Just that its still winter here but lately its been around 72f outside but with the sun it makes it 75-77f in house and I have my things in a smaller room so with being in the fruiting chamber temps are getting to high. Even now its 1:20 am.. and the temperature on the thermostat for the house says 78f. and the temp in the fruiting is about 79.5f. Sure I can go and turn the AC on. but in 3 hours the temp in here will drop to 45-50f outside and itll be like mad cold in here. I could also close all the vents in the house and just cool this room. but, there has got to be another way . I can control my fruiting chamber with heat.. using heating pads..if it is getting to cold.. But what I really need is a way to cool it...Thanks for your input...

Sorry to bump but..

Would better air flow decrease the temperature. Cool mist humidifier(as the name implies?), bubbler with hole above perlite.? Suggestions.?
