Newsgroup question

This may look SO newbie-ish  :crazy: But how do you decode multimedia including Mp3's and Mpegs etc through newsgroups on Outlook??.....If I want to see an Mpeg it just gives me a bunch of windings typoe text and no media file....anyone know what im talking about??? :confused:

i would suggest getting a dedicated news group reader and ditching the outlook. its good for email and what not, but not for news groups. this is my experience

Use newsbin. Its made for downloading files.

Acknowledging and agreeing with everyobne about getting a better newsreader --

Make sure you aren't trying to view a partial file... most binaries get broken down into smaller chunks... usually, you download all the pieces of a file (1/21 through 21/21 for example) select them all and then right click and combine and decode. follow the menus til you get the desired mpg, mp3, wmv, avi or what have you.
