Tattoo idea

So I'm thinking about just getting a small, simple tattoo. I have one tattoo already, its an artistic drawing of a solar eclipse. It means a lot to me because an eclipse by its very nature reminds of us of our own cosmic orientation, and it is held to be a deeply spiritual event all around the world.

Anyway, I'm thinking of getting this tattooed on the inside of my left wrist (cause i'm right handed) just a couple of inches below the wrist. I was thinking maybe...quarter sized, or slightly larger.

You don't know what yin yang is? The eight symbols around the outside signify opposing natural forces. Fire - water, Wind - thunder, Mountain - valley, Heaven - earth

the tattoo artist is going to be like "fuck, this again"  but wont say it to you.  and quarter sized is way small

Yeah I'm sure lots of people have a yin yang tattoo (although personally i've never seen one), but to me its better then getting a goofy ass picture of a dragon or barbed wire or some other retarded tattoo.

Yin yang is spiritual concept that is very meaningful to me, and I think the simplicity of the tattoo is what makes the difference. I'm not trying show off cool artwork on my body, I would get it more as a reminder to myself to always keep in mind the wholeness and interconnectedness of everything in life.

If I got it too much bigger than quarter sized I feel like it would be too showy.

As my friend who has several tattoos says, "Small is huge." Hes got small and large tattoos, and he's told me his small ones mean more to him.

Thanks! I've been wanting to get another tattoo, but i was just waiting for a good idea to come to me.

This is what my other tattoo looks like, its below my ribs on my right side. About palm sized.

Same, I have a tattoo on my right side. I plan on designing the rest.. something going all the way up my side, it just needs to come to me first.

Cool. What does it/going to look like? I wish i was artistic enough to design my own. I guess I could do some shit in photoshop if I wanted, but I'd never be able to draw up my own.

It's not much. Theres so much I would like to add to it. It's going to be a while before I decide what exactly, and I'll spend a lot of time designing it. I want it to mean a lot to me.

One of the locations I've wanted a tattoo at is my wrist, but I'm still worried about what will happen if for some reason I need a job where that matters.

Yeah, I had the same thought. I figure if its on the inside and relatively small, it will be easy to hide/cover up at a job interview.

But as far as I'm concerned...if someone doesn't want to hire me because I have a yin ying on my wrist, they can cram their job up their ass and suck my balls.

Very cool. I could see that turning into something really cool, like with ivy vines going up your side, and more flowers.

My friend has something similar, although I like the color in yours way more.



When you come up with something you should post it to the shroomery. I'm sure it will look great.

I had the idea to get "LIAR" tattooed on the inside of my bottom lip when I was rolling once.. Still thinking about doing that.
