chex mix?

i saw somewhere that one could sub chex mix for brf in the pf tek. i've done oen grow so far, i used brf but for me it's a real pain to get. so i was wondering if anyone knows if one need take any special precaution or procedure with chex mix? is it as simple and grinding it up and then treating it like brf from that point on?

but what i read about it said just crush it up, and treat it as brf.

if you do use chex, i read that it has to be whole weat because its all natural or something, im not 100% sure but i know it said whole weat chex.

and if you do use it as substitue for brf please let me know your results, thanks.
