Why are women in the olympics?

Aren't the olympics supposed to showcase the best of the best at their respective sports in the world? If you win a gold medal under the "women's" class, that medal doesn't mean shit all. You are NOT the best in the world unless you compete under the most rigorous category.

There should be ONE category under which everyone is allowed to try and get into and subsequently compete. If women can't keep up/can't get scores/times good enough to be the best in the world, then we shouldn't give them a children's league to compete in, that's just bending over backwards.

We don't shoot up guys with low test so they can keep up, if you don't have the genetics/body type to get into the olympics there shouldn't be extra categories for you because you're therefore not the best in the world and the olympic gold/champion status loses all its meaning.

women want all the perks of being equal (pay, rights, etc.)

but none of the problems (competing in same sports, having to compete with men in general, etc)

If you ignore the title, then all he's saying is that there should be one mixed-sex category. He says that if there are women who are stronger than men at the sport, then they shall win. The title does say otherwise, I know.

false, men and women have the same number of muscles(men just have larger muscle mass). But I agree with what you were trying to say. :thumbup:

Wow I learned something new. Thanks for correcting that. I was under the impression we had a few more muscles in our upper body. Thanks for the clarification :thumbup:

Men can recover faster, run harder and react faster due to natural chemicals in our body. Life isn't fair.

Women have estrogen mainly, we have testosterone mainly. Its just how life is.
