Take so fucking long to cook, I have to wait over a half hour for one god damn baked potato. I have ten minutes left until its done and felt like taking up some of that time by making a post about how annoyed I am at how long they take to cook.

They don't take that long if you nuke them, but then they don't taste as good.  Why not just make deviled eggs?

Hybrid method is best.

Nuke until 99% done.  Then put in very hot oven for 5 or 10 minutes to crisp up the skin.

I just stab a few holes in it wrap it in foil and toss it in the oven. Tastes best that way IMO just takes a fuckin long time. And both wendys and BK are quite a long walk from my apartment and its snowing outside, so thats kinda not an option.

You should coat the outside of baked potatoes with olive oil before you put them into the oven.  Gives the skin a really nice crispy, flaky texture.

Well my potato is done and I need to remember to cook them longer next time, my oven is starting to die. I left it in for an extra ten min and its not as soft as id like it so oh well, better next time. And that is a very informative site there vortex, ill keep that in mind for next time, lol
