Let Me Guess Your Sign. Astrology Help.

Hi, I have just gotten a go from my influential friend at USC film to school to film a little test on astrology.  I would go out into hollywood, and interview people, guessing their sign right.

Yesterday, I made a post about this in PSP-section, and was doubted greatly.
  I said I could accurately guess someone's sign by reading through their posts and asking them questions.  People were skeptical.

So, then, one of the members here asked me to guess their sign.  By going through his posts ( he never posted his birth date or sign ), I not only guessed his sign correctly, but I happened to guess his birth date correctly on the first try.

At doing this, I was quite astounded.  As often I can get the sign, and never the birth day.  In that same thread, I later tried to do another one, and I failed myself by getting it wrong.  However, I did take solace in the fact, that I told him accurately that he was a cusp sign, which he was, and that it would be very hard to get it right because cusp signs are complicated.

I first started noticing I could do this when I was reading a book or watching a sporting event, and I just had a gut feeling of what sign the author/athlete was.

Like the time I was watching "Enter The Dragon" and I said to myself, look at the fire in bruce lee's eyes, he must be a sag, et cetera. 

Now, getting the sign right every time is quite complicated, and because someone's birth chart and environment heavily effects everything.  However, I am working on coming up with some sort of method not to prove the existence of astrology, but perhaps push a single soul in its a direction, and besides it is quite fun for me.  I know no matter what I did there will always be skeptics, and I don't care.  I am doing this for me, and people who care about this.

I had my friend read the thread, and  coupled with real life examples I have had that he knows of, he has now given me a go to have film equipment and crew for one day.  But, I need to do a lot of practicing first.  SO, if you are interested in me trying to guess your sign, send me a PM.  I expect to be wrong sometimes, but I want the practice.

I am currently working on and designing a series of questions to ask.  I am also looking for a professor or someone with a degree in statistics to oversee the experiment.

So, anyways, send me a pm if you are interested in helping me, it may take me a little to get back to you because i have a few projects i am working on at the moment, but if and when the video is filmed, it will be put on my youtube channel.

  I'm doing this for fun, and I know there are a lot of holes in trying to do this, I'm doing it for fun.

Can you explain in further detail what each sign is associated with and explain some more of the different logic you use to figure out someones sign? Also what do the air,water,earth,fire really represent ?

Yes, I will, and everyone who PM'd me, thanks, I currently have a 102 degree fever and am quite sick, so I will answer all of ur guys' PMs later on, after i get better.  it requires a lot of concentration to try and get it right,  and my head hurts too much

Quickly, To answer your question, the basic thing I use to figure it out is figuring out whether someone is Fire, Earth, AIr,  Water

Fire - Aries, Leo, Sag
Water - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
Earth - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Air - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius


Fire people are aggressive, strong opinions, athletic, sexual
Water people are emotional, sensual, sensitive, intuitive
Earth people are down-to-earth, conservative, restrained, quiet
Air  people are light, talkative, airy, reflective, socially smart

I have done this about 50 times i would say since i started practicing a year ago,  I can usually almost always eliminate two of the elements just by talking to a person.

If I notice someone that is shy and quiet, I immediately remove fire.  Or, if someone is very open emotionally, I immediately remove air.

There are also colors signs are inately drawn to,

I first started noticing this when I would be reading poetry, and a certain poet would always mention a certain color, and i saw other poets and people with the same sign like that color.

Purple is what I look for because it immediately gives me a clue they are either gemini ( Prince ), Late november Sag, and Scorpio..

Fire- Reds, and Golds
Earth - Greens, Browns, Yellows,
Water - Blue, Teals
Air - pastels ( lighter versions of colors )

it is easier in person because a person walks and body language of a sign.

  Aries is most noticiable on the face - Aries women tend to have angled noses and Aries men have  Ram like features, big brows, et cetera.

  I also ask every person I've met in the last year their sign and I take private notes.

However, of course, there is the birth chart, and the Sun Sign is only one of 8 planets that has influence over you,

soldathero, i would be quite shocked if i did your birth sign and their was no scorpio in your planets, i am thinking ur moon is a scorpio, if you want, i can do your chart and email it to you, it only takes 10 min for me.

To be fair, after yours, I got one quite wrong.  I didn't stick to the list of questions I've created.  His case still puzzles me greatly, and I am going to do with birth chart so I can fully understand it.  I'm only going to stick with the questions.  I want to come up with like a set of 10 q's I can ask so when I try for the Randi challenge, I can set the parameters.  I have four very solid questions so far.  I am going to do your birth chart, and the other guy's birth chart now, so I'll send them.

Very nice OP... I have studied this for years on my own, and it's great to be able to have conversations with those who understand it on a deeper level than basic sun signs.

Simple understanding about the workings of the elements can be amazing once you start applying it to things in your life.

Elements are much easier to guess as well because even if someone's Sun is in one sign, every other planet in their chart could be in something completely different..

By using elements you are able to more accurately intuit what a person's personality is mostly composed of.

Yep! You covered the basics very well. I'll add the following about the elements:

FIRE = loud, passionate, creative, obnoxious, dramatic, bold, impulsive
WATER = compassionate, moody, adaptable, strong feelings, boundary issues, escapist
AIR = flakey, thoughtful, light-hearted, detached, gentle, unreliable, fickle, air-headed
EARTH = reliable, materialistic, worldly, prefer outdoors, cautious, critical

There's a ton of little things I've observed over the years..
For instance, Earth types love being outdoors, hiking, exploring the wilderness, etc.
I worked at a national park for a year, and 3 out of every 4 people I met were Earth signs!

Earth signs are the most reliable friends. They always seem to have their shit together in terms of finances and possessions.
Some could be called boring, but they are just extremely cautious and avoid rash decisions.
They tend to be the most serious of any element, and it can be a challenge to lighten them up a bit. It doesn't come naturally.
Earth signs often reach emotional maturity before any other element, many of them have their whole life planned out from the get-go.
They are all about concrete goals and accomplishments.

I've noticed Water signs (and to a lesser extent Fire) are more susceptible to addiction.
I believe it has something to do with Water's inability to set boundaries and Fire's impulsiveness.
People born under the sign of Pisces in particular seem to be most vulnerable, due to their tendency to withdraw from the world and desire to escape.
Water signs in general always seem to be involved in some sort of drama. They get very wrapped up in it, intentionally or not, and find it hard to avoid.
These are the people who become depressed or upset over matters most everyone else has learned to accept or ignore.
They have big hearts, and there's always something tugging at their emotions.

Fire signs are quick to excite or anger, but also quick to cool off.
If you get into a fight with a fire sign, it's not abnormal for them and within days they will act like nothing happened.
Fire signs are the most passionate people, they are unapologetic and often won't settle for anything less than what they believe they deserve.
They can be extremely driven as long as their heart is in it. They can also be egotistical, with an inflated sense of self-importance.

Air signs are notoriously flakey and unemotional. They are interested in learning everything they can, but usually go on to the next thing before they master anything.
They are the type of people who will start 5 projects at once and finish none of them. One reason is they get bored easily, and constantly look for new things to interest them.
The reason they are so flakey is that they hate the idea of being tied down to any sort of commitment, even if they previously agreed to it.
They constantly change their opinions, feelings and beliefs because they constantly seek out new knowledge.
It's usually very easy to feel comfortable around an Air sign, due to their light-hearted nature.
They tend to be too lost in their own thoughts and observations to get over-involved with other people's drama.

I no longer try to convince anyone that astrology is valid. It undeniably works for me, and I don't need to defend that fact.
To people unsure where they stand towards astrology, focus on the elements first and prove it to yourself.
Memorize which signs belong to which elements, then find out the birthdate of everyone you know.
To go a step further, you can then use that information to create birth charts, and then you can really start making amazing correlations.

To truly understand astrology even slightly, you have to dig deeper.
The birth charts have an infinite variation of interpretations. There's so much going on that you never stop learning.

Before I started studying it for myself, I assumed it was bunk.
Astrology has a horrible reputation due to all the silly horoscopes you find in magazines, and the majority of people never bother to dig deeper than that.
Also, no one really knows why or how it works, so the rational mind assumes it's bogus.

Anyways, I'm done rambling for now.. if anyone wants to know more I would be glad to explain what I know.
It has honestly turned into a passion of mine, so I would enjoy looking up your birth chart, elements, etc.

That is an unusual mix! Cusp kids are always harder to pin down, obviously.
I'm one myself (Feb 17th) and even with the ton of Aquarius in my chart I still exhibit some Piscean traits.

I would guess that you are introverted, yet drawn to others... Pisces moon is a deep aspect that yearns for emotional connection.

With that combination I would imagine you have a lot of inner conflict to work out.
I've noticed that when people's Sun and Moon signs aren't harmonious (squares in particular) it indicates a lot of inner struggle for the personality.

Also I would bet you constantly feel like a different person, or maybe you appear different to those around you.

Do you ever feel like you're changing back and forth between different aspects of yourself, against your will?

Also, are you a Virgo or Libra? Because if you're Sun's in Virgo, that means you were born under a full moon.

Full moon people (Sun & Moon opposing) are usually caught between a polarity their whole lives.

Hm, I'm a cusp and was apparently born three days away from a full moon.  Are they supposed to correspond like that?

Indeed, we all have the potential for every sign of the Zodiac.

Astrology is not black & white by any means... nothing is set in stone, and you certainly can't use it to predict the future or even a person's behavior.

You can however use it to get an idea for what is probable.

No, the moon could be in any sign during a cusp.

A full moon is when the Moon is in the opposite sign of the Sun.

Being born on a cusp just means you are close to the beginning/ending of one sign and another.
