so i did go check out the rumor mill....

apparently Roo keeps tweeting clues about the lineup and unless its complete bullshit, it looks like they might have the rolling stones, but here is what looks like the most solid list of candidates:

im betting they are pushing it back because they are still trying to get the stones. the stones dont do one offs and said they werent touring this year, but this is bonnafuckingroo and they can promise an experience fitting of their status.

meh, the headliners are generally a big let down anyway, the best action happens in the tents and sometimes the which stage.

i would like to see some regulars come back like the flaming lips (they just had a new album come out so it could happen), my morning jacket always does a great show, manu chao was insane, and girl talk always gets the bitches crazy.

i am kind of meh about your projected line up, except for furthur, THAT would be awesome.

i heard the flaming lips are going to do the full cover of dark side of the moon, plus one regular set.

yeah, there has also been some mention of prince as well....

frankly, all 6 years i have gone the headliners have been meh outside of Tool and phish. the police sucked, DMB of course sucked, i thought radiohead did a very weak show, i dislike metallica... etc, etc.

I think the biggest part of the lineup is the secondary and tertiary acts. sucks wakarusa got zappa plays zappa, but the tents generally throw down the best and the which stage has had its moments.

I think it is about the bands that generally play the main stage are bored with their careers, while the guys in the tents have a better time because they are so excited. they go that extra mile, like beck did a few years ago. or like any flaming lips show.

the new clue for today reads: "The anti-clue: Another word for lisommeness + another word for territory."

last year was my first year, and i would have to agree.

i skipped phish friday night and saw the most amazing performance by phoenix......then slept through bruce & NIN saturday because i partied too hard on friday.  my favorite block of music over all for the weekend was friday afternoon at......one of those tents :-P the one david byrne curated where the dirty projectors, st. vincent, et al played.....

well i am pretty excited about the first chunk of artists they've released, but i think this releasing them over the course of the day thing is LAME.  it's not making me more excited, it's making me more angry!!!
