how many of you homosapians have photographic memories? what is it like for those of you who do and don't? I myself have one and when i think its just blurred images showing in my mind with eyes closed or open kinda like when u trip n u can see your thoughts but its not so intense. i personally enjoy having one because i can always remember what happened and how everything went and looked. i am relay interested in what the thought proses of someone who doesn't have a photographic memory is like. please chime in chaps:grin:

My memory isn't really photographic. If I see someone, I can't picture their face in my head at all. But then at other random times, I can see a face quite well. I just can't make it happen. I recognise faces very well, just can't picture them in my head on command and the times they appear, isn't very often.

I don't know if this classifies as photographic memory, but I can remember layouts of houses and areas pretty well. I've always been pretty good at finding my way when I'm bush walking. I can picture areas and houses pretty well, just not faces :smile:

That's so wierd to me that u cannot see a face in ur mind when u try. I can go thru my whole day yesrerdY thru my eyes and see every street sign n everything. If I wanted I could imagin third person becouse I know the city so well. Wen u think of sumthing what's the process like. For things like math even? For me I do the problem by imagining the problem in my head. As in I could see it and doing it visualy. Please share. This interests me greatly

Kinda like when u trip u can see what ur thinking at times such as memories sumtimes. It's exaclty lIke that. I can see what ever I think off and that's usualy how my mind operates. I think back of a coke can that's what I see. Same with everything. Can anyone relate?

If you look at a 50 digit number for 5 seconds, can you remember the whole thing?  I can picture a coke can in my head anytime I want too.

I can picture objects in my head. Right now, I can picture a coke can easily, but there is no detail, just the general colours and words (which can't be read). I'm just hopeless with picturing faces. I think faces are seen differently as normal objects. Kind of when I first used msn or something, the : D letters together would be seen as a : and a D for me, I couldn't relate that to an expression at all. Now when I see : D, it looks like a happy little face. I recognise it as a happy symbol, not a colon and a D.
