well i mean, who knows exactly how blood extraction effects different athletes


you cant just assume that taking equal blood draws from two fighters will decrease their stamina equally.

diff athletes have different strengths. some have more fast twitch muscle fibers to deliver faster speed and help with power. Some people carry more blood volume than others.

if you take blood shortly before a match it leaves less red blood cells to carry oxygen. hence weaker performance.

Knowing this I can see pacquiaos point. tho I really want to see this fight.

to see an interesting paper on blood volume check this out. its about the differences in blood volume based on race. it mentions hypertension in african americans being much higher. caused by a difference in blood volume

I think the fight will happen. There's too much money at stake for it not too. They'll find some sort of middle ground. Pacman just needs to stop acting like a two year old in regards to the drug testing.

blood feeds our muscles. Manny belonging to a race of people with much less blood volume than african americans (asian) I wouldnt see the point in taking a chance either.

I just wish floyd could say why blood testing directly after the fight is not sufficient enough. its the ONLY way to ensure the testing has no effect on the fight.

I also agree it will most likely be psychological in its effect on Manny. But if you believe it to effect you, it will.

I think it's funny that people believe this is as simple as if Floyd is standing there next to Manny and goes "Hey let's be fair and take some more drug tests" and Manny says "No I"m not gonna take anymore sorry"

First of all both of these guys are entirely controlled by management.  Floyd's is a lot "better" at creating hype and does just that, finds things to go on about to make everything seem like it's a much bigger deal than it in.  He does it in every fight, needs to find something to talk about. 

Fighters are media puppets, their job is what they do in the ring.  Anything that goes outside the ring is entirely controlled by other people.  But nah I'm sure Manny just has some super dirty secrets to hide behind that massive, steroided frame.

every match should have a fixed set of rules for drug testing that should not change for anyone.

One of the ESPN articles was saying that it is something like a tablespoon of blood that is needed

They do its called the Nevada State Athletic Comission - This goes beyond any of their testing - for two guys who have never ever been flagged in Nevada

Sounds like Manny wants testing to be cut off 30 days prior to the fight (which we all know is worthless) and Mayweather has moved to saying testing would be cut off 14 days prior to the fight

I dont get why he wont just submit to these tests. I doubt a little blood drawn 14 days prior to the fight would affect either fighters performance. This is dumb
