Ah, that explains it.  Typical know-it-all noob.  We get a few thousand just like you register here every year.  They try a few grows, fail miserably and then after a few months or one bad trip, go back to sniffing glue, never to be seen again.

We have a basic pf tek that's idiot proof enough for noobs to get fucked up with their friends.

Mycologists on the other hand grow for the love of growing.  They want to experiment with various species, substrates, and fruiting environments. They'll move on to isolate strains, attempt hybridization, and in general treat cultivation as an artform, rather than a chore that must be performed as a means to an end.  They'll work twice as hard for a ten percent gain, just for the love of perfection.  These are the ones who will isolate strains, not the dumb fucks who treat mushrooms as a drug, or even worse, a pathogen, as if mushrooms cause disease.

Check your local headshop, most usually sell them fairly cheap.  I think I picked mine up for about 30 bucks.

just ended up getting this: http://cgi.ebay.com/DigiWeigh-DW-AS-100-x-0-01-G-DIGITAL-POCKET-LAB-SCALE_W0QQitemZ110471451104QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item19b89c91e0

I have that exact scale, I also got it from ebay.

I've had it for about a year...just started to have problems with it.  For some reason it won't calibrate anymore with the 100g weights (it says it's too much weight or something), so I've been forced to calibrate it to 50g.

Which means I have to divide the displayed weight by 2 to get the actual weight.   But a big deal, it's still accurate, but it's a hassle and frustrating.  Plus I've come close to forgetting the division thing a couple times...could have been really bad for me.

Ime, most drugs you will encounter are doses measured in either grams or miligrams- so if you want any type of accuracy for measuring drugs (beyond the simple gram measurements of ganja or shrooms for example) you probably would want one accurate to 0.001g.

meh, as long as its to the .01 it should be fine. .05 or .07 is almost as legit as .053 or .072

Yea, should be fine with k- I managed it measuring out DMT doses, but you will quickly understand the limitations for the next time you purchase a scale (as did I).

It can get tricky in other cases though, for example a reading of 0.02g on the scale could be 20mg all the way up to nearly 30mg- and in the world of RCs that is a huuuuge leap.
