I had my first homegrown experience within the past year. Just started off with a few to test the waters, but it had been a little while since my previous mushroom trip and I ended up tripping BALLS.

I had a blast. I had so much energy...energy that I seem to lack these days on recent shroom trips.

yeah it was great. Living in the PNW i was never able to eat fresh cubensis and it was a great trip. The taste of fresh cubes is wayy better too.

yep
ate 40g fresh of my own grow on a hilltop in switzerland.
trees wiggled their fingers at me, and each fingertip had a golden eye.
runes were written in the grass.
night fell, but to my surprise, i didn't as i made my way back down to earth.
on earth there were bonfires in bathrooms
and faces in the floor
to which i had to apologise for dancing on them.
they were cool though.

growing some more :smile:

Does homegrown really make a huge difference in the trip I've been wondering this for awhile and I'm gonna find out soon my buddy is growing some treaseure coast cakes that he just picked the first flush from, so I'm just wondering what's the main difference in the homegrown trip and wild picked.

There is very little difference in the trips TBH
I have eaten and grown wild cubes and
the main difference is in the taste.

Fresh cubes grown on whole grains
taste lots better than field shrooms

I was actually about to post a thread asking about this, but this pretty much answers it.

All of the shrooms I've done were homegrown, except for once about 12 years ago. All of the complaints that I've heard of the taste made me wonder if it was substrate related. Grown in shit, tastes like shit. I've never eaten shit tasting shrooms.

Btw, I ate my first homegrown batch a couple of months ago.
