i have always used torrentz.com. it searches the major torrent sites. have always liked it pretty well.

No. Much smaller and more obscure sites have been shut down before. I think it's generally accepted in the torrent community that any and every site is bound to fail except for the smallest and most elite. Even then they still aren't completely immune and they are ridiculously hard to even find out about, let alone get into.

Demonoid has had my ratio screwed up ever since they went down the last time - its stuck and doesn't change upload or download amounts.  This happen to anyone else?

Demonoid is good, but not the best.  I find myself using it most when private sites fail me, which isnt often.  They dont have the selection that a specialty private site has of course.  On the other hand, they are better than fully public site and I usually go to them before the bay. 

Hope they stick around, improve and fix their ratio.  :thumbup:

Mine was stuck for a while before they went down, but it started working again....  my ratio sat at .25 for the longest time.  Now it's up to .40  I'm trying to get it back to at least .85

Try watching porn when you're power is out or your internet is down and you don't have any on your computer.

I can live without porn but it's nice to have a bit around. It's not like torrents aren't free.

A 2 TB HDD is plenty of space to house some porn on top of whatever else you keep a round.

My 2 one TB hard drives are nearly full...  I have about 200 GB left.  Of course once that fills there is probably a few hundred more I can clear out.  But with .mkv taking over .avi (for good reason) and higher def movies and the like coming out I can see myself wanting 4 or 5 TB in a few years. :crazy:

I guess I don't download anything aside from music and I have a few pr0ns tucked away somewhere so I still have trouble grasping how more than 1 TB could not be enough unless I take a step back and think about it.

I dont have any cable or antenna hooked up to my TV, so all my shows come from my hard disk.  I like watching old stuff, comedy, sci-fi, documentary.  All this takes up one of my TB hard drives (with only 50 GBs to spare).  My second hard drive has about 175 GB of music, 300 GB of movies, 200 GB of programs, 100 GB of books, pictures, and documents.  I just cleared out a bunch of redundant backups and freed up a hundred gigs.  Got some breathing room now.  Maybe ill go DL more shit!
