Marijuana cultivation q

I was wondering if I cut the plant second set of fan leaves as close to the first set as possible will the two branches that form produce twice the MJ the original branch would have? Can I use this cutting as a clone?, How many times can I cut and make the plant branch?

you should wait until you have at least three sets....

pinch the top off...and you will basically divide the first main bud into two smaller buds.  smaller buds doesn't mean twice as much...you may get triple as much.  it all depends, but you will certainly distribute more energy into making flowers.

sometimes, it's not wise to pinch at all :laugh:

One of my plants this year was pinched. It fell and the top was cut off, but I saved it and it kept growing in two sides :laugh: I liked it cause it was smaller ( 1m something ) and the other one from the same seeds that was not pinched was 2 m something :laugh:

Each time you top the plant it will make 2 shoots from the one you cut, the more you top the more colas you get. if you top them early then the colas will be just as big as the original one would have been. i would at least top once, youll get a lot more bud in the end.

Pinching makes a bushyer plant but depends when your pinching?
if its during the grow cycle i.e when on 16 to 24 hours light its fine
but if you pinch after the flower cycle has started i.e when the light is 12/12
you will get less bud
P.s felix is right about the wait till there are at least 3 leaf sets before pinching.
If you wait till say 6 leaf sets you can take the top 3 as a cutting

I just want the 'piching' to serve two purposes, adding yield, and allowing me to take clones in order to determine sex early on, and possibly growing the female clones as well, but im mainly concernced with the pinching providing two stalks.
