I had some serious mutants with my first oakridge tray as well.  The first flush had one of those upside down caps growing out of another cap like you mentioned mOOnshine, and the rest were small extremely wavy caps like what dancefloor posted.  The gills of those caps were all wavy as well, and gave shit prints.   

The second flush looked nothing like my first flush- straight caps, large speckled fruits, and beautiful dark spore prints.  Then the third flush was back to weird mutants with fat bulbous stems, wavy caps with a large hole in the center of the cap all the way through into the hollow stem.  So weird. :wtf:

The first flush is the only one I've consumed so far, and despite the ugly mutant-ness they were potent as hell.  New Moon was watchable on 1.5g of these... haha.

I have a new tray of oakridge in the martha, waiting on knotting/pins now.  Should be interesting to see how this tray turns out.  The wbs jars were the result of a g2g so hopefully there will be less variation between flushes this time.

Thanks a lot, results would have been better with the dunk and roll no doubt, but I think I did ok.

I've been getting these blob like mutants, are these technically sclerotia or just mutants?

As with all other cubes, you won't realize the full potential of any grow until you start working with Bulk Substrates.  I believe you all got those prints from me. :grin:  Just a reminder of what produced those prints.



And what kinds of yields you can get.


I currently have 6 tubs of Oak Ridge going right now.  :rockon:

Hahaha shroomy1 did all the prints you sent out come from that tub?
I've been working with the print you sent me and have several beautiful fully colonized containers of rye about to be multiplied via grain to grain and then later spawned to invitro fruting bags

Not all of them.  about half of them.  The other half were not ready when I took that picture.  It would have not made for such a pretty picture with a whole bunch of mushrooms that had been BEHEADED. :scaryshroom:

I know, I know, I've been slacking. :spank:  Work is kicking my ass,  and I'm embarking on my Largest project to date....... Twelve 64qt monotubs.  That's a lot of syringes to make, WBS to prep, Jars to Pc, substrate to make, substrates to Pasteurize.  Hell, my Pressure Cookers are going as I type. :rofl2:

I had 6 out of 7 WBS jars get that yeast mold. You know the tiny white dots all over. So anyways 1 jar was good with no contam and I used it for a G2G hoping to save the oakridge. Looks like everything is coming through strong with no contams! Can't wait to spawn these bad boys!
