even if it is turning a profit, who really cares? lol....its not detrimental to anything, pretty irrelevant documentary imo

maybe, the coaching of media to stroke towards this one point in one direction and have everyone pay for it other then the ones making profit?

HUGE displacement of poor people (i live 3.5 hours away, and we have swarms of Vancouver homeless being BUSSED here with tickets by the city of Vancouver.)

Not to mention the destruction of the environment and the HUGE amount of money the games have gone over budget.

It is absolutely wrong to use the games as a front to kiss developers asses at the expense of the residents of the lower mainland, not to mention the tax payers of BC and Canada at large.

The main issue's are the fact that in order to win the olympic bid, Vancouver made ALOT of promises regarding not displacing people, not causing environmental destruction, and not going over budget.

Hell, it was in writing that they would be developing systems of transport to move people to Whistler without single person vehicles, and infact it was stated that personal vehicle use would be strongly discouraged and instead bus and train infrastructures would be utilized.

A couple years passed and they built a freeway instead.

The whole thing (the olympics and how Vancouver has dealt with it) has proven from the get-go that Profits have come waaaay before the people.

Bullshit.

I would be eager to hear anyone's perspective from the documentary.
