does torrent reactor bring you to scam sites?

fuck man... so I'm lookin for a torrent... a very hard to find torrent, and since demonoid is fucked :sad:... I've been lookin at other sites, piratebay doesn't have it

I just signed up with torrentreactor.com because it says it has my torrent... but then I click on the link and it takes me to 'usenet' which to me seems identical to the scam site a similar site brought me to that i fell for.. ripped me off 5 bucks or so... good thing I canceled before I got charged the 50$ a month after the 'free trial' ended

I was told torrentreator is a legit site... but I'm really thinkin it's not.... or at least scam sites are using it as bait or something

am I right??... I'm not fuckin paying for a decent torrent site and gettin ripped off again

is this an actual torrent site like demonoid?... or the same thing as bittorent/utorrent, like the actual program you need for downloading torrents in the first place

Oh, hum, I'm not sure.  I downloaded it, and now I can download full discographies.  No more work to do.  It's an actual downloading program.

I think vuze just searches many torrent sites for what your looking for and then downloads them, still in the same manor, just with an interface that resembles the P2P days of Kazaa/LimeWire

use a real torrent application (uTorrent, Transmission, Deluge, etc). vuze is bloated and power hungry.

I use utorrent and am happy with it... i can't find a fuckin site that has my torrent... been looking for weeks... it's gotta be somewhere :mad2:

Yeah, I quite like it.  2 hours for 17 Grateful Dead albums.  It downloads them into a Grateful Dead folder.  Inside each folder is another folder for each album.  Each song is correctly tagged for windows media player.  All I could ask for. :P

I guess I'm a torrent noob.  You have to get a torrent, and then find torrent sites for your torrent to download from?  Too much work for me, but if it works better for you, awesome.  I'm lazy though. :laugh:

Once You search it will have a menu at he top of the browser and it will take you to another torrent site with your search term already put in.

It's pretty sweet.

it uses more system resources that it should. sliming down makes things faster :smile:

Ooh, ok.  That makes sense.  I usually do it while I'm in class or sleeping though.  Yeah, I'm not advertising Vuze or anything.  Only torrent I've ever used so there could be much better things out there.
