What type of scenerio would cause you to give up your child as an orphan?

Like would you give up your kid if you can't afford food so that your kid can live a better life? Or if your disabled and can't afford a nanny? Or if your kid has some sort of disability? Has anybody had to live with a kid with autism or mental retardation? Most people say that if their kid was born "infected" with a "disease" like that they would go crazy. I've had to spend extensive time with an autistic kid and he was so completely out of control there is no way I would be able to live with someone like that 24/7. Some people are just not fit for society their brains work so differently they need to be quarantined for their and other peoples safety. For every 95 kids one of them is autistic. There is a huge range of severity for autism and most autistic kids can live in society. Howver some kids are so in their own world that they just bring everybody down around them. Would you ever give up your kid because of their condition? Its like living with an alzeheimers patient its totally dreadful.

I don't have kids so I wouldn't truly know what I would do until I actually have them.

I think it would suck ass though.

I can't think of one.
I wouldn't trust anyone with my child(ren) more than myself- and I spose the mother. It would be tantamount to abandoning a part of myself, my child is an extension of me.


ps: I have no kids.

Honestly, I couldn't bare raising a retarded child... I wouldn't be able to take the constant dread and suffering.

My aunt and uncle had a child who was autistic. It's pure hell until they die pretty much. Luckily they sued the doctor and got a million bucks... but still... that is nothing for the amount of time you have to suffer.

I'd give up the child.

If the child was so fucking stupid that it wouldn't know it's parents hate it, I would give it up.

But if it was like mildly - moderately autistic I would keep that son of a bitch.

Honestly, at this point in my life, I don't ever really see myself being able to raise children. Maybe when I'm way way older.

I have a hard enough time keeping up with myself at times to worry about another human being.
