The first pic is cobweb free. Just fuzzy mycelium.

Looks like mycelium to me. It?s not growing very fast, is it?

SHould have specified.. they are the same cake, just different angles.. that growth was observed over about 3-4 days.  If it is just mycellium, is it bad, are pins going to form there, should I trim it if it gets long? :smile:

Just give it some more time, don?t handle it, just leave it alone in a nice, humid environment and fan it out from time to time.

The only place humid and fanned regularlly is my terrarium, which it's been in for about 4-5 days now. Does it go airborne? Will it contam other cakes (assuming it's cob-web) if I just leave it in the terrarium with the other cakes? Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.

3 letters "FAQ" and no its not cobweb. Definitely mycelium. Take a look at the contam FAQ(FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS) in case you are stupid  :grin:

You know i bet hes checked the faq but some poeple feel more comfortable with direct answers specifically for him. the forum is for questions like that.if u dont like the question move on to a different one. i notice alot of low post numbers busting in with stupid, mean, not helpful at all answers. Hey its a forum people are here to help not criticize. looks good to me just fuzzy myc hope u get some mushies!
