Pro's: Museums, legal weed, crossroads of europe (meet a lot of people from everywhere).

Con's: Too many crazy hippies, asshole police, high cost of living.

red like district is just so much fun to be at at night, you wont see something like that anywhere in the world, not even thailand :laugh:

i love the city.
i stayed at nordwijk and had a free shuttlebus going do amsterdam and back all day.
STAY THE FLYING PIG HOSTELS! Best tip i can give :wink:
i stayed at the beach hostel.

I stayed twice at the vligenbos (sp?) campground. exit the rear of the train station and take the ferry across then it's about a mile hike to the right. They have little cabins that are pretty cheap since it will be cold.

i loved Amsterdam. it was at the end of a 4 week stay in Geneva. it may have just been the ability to speak english freely and not have to worry about the language barrier. had a lot of fun though.
