Bond Set For Mother Accused In Role In Son's Heroin Overdose
Mother Shot Son Up With Heroin For Years

WATERFORD, Wis. -- Ray Strosina, 16, never got the chance to grow up.

He was found dead in his father's Waterford home on Sept. 14.

Tests revealed he died from a drug overdose of heroin and cocaine, and now an unlikely suspect -- his mother -- is charged in his death.

Patty Strosina is accused of providing her son with the drugs, and in a criminal compliant, prosecutors laid out the sad story of a teenage addict.

According to court records, Strosina would “put the needle in Ray's arm and shoot Heroin into him."

One of the mother’s friends said Strosina got her son drugs when he was only 14. The friend said that Strosina taught the teenager how to shoot heroin.

The woman told police she saw the mother and son smoking marijuana together and doing crack cocaine “at least three of four times per week.”

Investigators said Strosina initially denied the whole thing but eventually admitted her role. She told them when she bought heroin, she would use the same needle as her son and would use approximately $20 worth, which “would be enough for her and Ray to share.”

The teenager was just a few weeks into his junior year at Waterford High School when he died. His father Jeff Strosina said he really turned things around after a rough freshman year -- he made the B honor roll his sophomore year.

The father said he "had no idea that was going on."

Jeff and Patty Strosina divorced in 2004, but he let her still live in his house.

He said he's still numb over the situation and think his ex-wife should pay for her crimes.

Patty Strosina is being held on a $15,000 cash bail.

Her next court date is set for later this month.

I don't believe I ever met Ray, but I know some of his friends and relatives. I was one of the first to learn of his death.:sad:

Apparently so.  As well as crack?  Smoking pot with your kid is chill, but at that early of an age, even that...no.  Introducing them to smack and crack, let alone shooting up together etc?  Fucking whacked.  I've heard/seen just about everything...but not that.
