An article on torrentfreak on September 1, 2009 reported that a few days of downtime was probably imminent because of damage suffered by the servers due to power outages.[26] The website went down for maintenance on September 16, 2009.

I invite good shroomerites who will upload. I hope they are opperating again within a week. Im so bummed right now. Thx god i got a bunch of crazy expensive software last week for school. (adobe master collection + PAWS data v17 = > $1000.)

Demonoid's tracker url(s) are public trackers not private ones.

Yes, membership is required to view the demonoid webpages, torrents lists, torrent pages and the ability to download torrents files from demonoid. Many of these torrents can also be obtained from other torrent sites if they were also uploaded to them. You can even get them from friends etc via email them to you.  There is no passkey needed or membership required to leech, seed, connect to the tracker to download the data if you have the demonoid tracked torrent file. there still must be seeder(s)and/or leecher(s)to connect to share file data.  At least one tracker must be working and at least 2 peers connectable for any data exchange to take place or at least 2 peers using one of the same non tracker methods of connecting. these would be  local peer discovery, peer exchange, Distributed database or DHT.

I've been checking Demonoid every few days.  They just made it so easy.  No worries about viruses or fakes.  Just simple downloading that took no time at all.  The world's media at my fingertips.

Is there anything else that even comes close?  Isohunt just doesn't do it for me.

Rapidshare FTW.

Never goes down and has everything I need to download, everything.  Sure torrents can get you a tad bit more, in my opinion, but I haven't had a problem with finding any video/song/file etc.
