XBOX 360 question

is it possible to transfer movies (from torrents, usually .avi) onto the xbox using a flash drive?

i tried and its not working. can someone help me?

no, you cant transfer it directly to your xbox, but if you have a wireless router, and you computer is directly linked to your router, (or if you have a wireless router with really good bandwidth) you can stream them as long as your computer is on. this is what i do, or i sometimes save my media onto a flashdrive and watch them on my xbox. but you cant really transfer them directly onto the xbox.

yeah, put the usb thang into the usb thang on ur xbox

then


get to whereever.


then go to 'portable device'

and u can watch mpg and avi thangs on ur xbox

yea, you can watch it directly from your flash drive. just make sure you have the media update on your xbox. when you try and play it, it will come up with a download now if your xbox is connected to xbox live. just go to videos, or whatever you want to view, portable device, then it should be there. i believe it has to be either avi, mpeg, wmv or divx though. which most torrents are avi or divx

well, just bring it close to your modem and get it, you dont need to have gold to get updates. though if you dont have it hooked up, youll prolly have to download alot of updates. do you have the new dashboard update? or do you still have the tabs?

i think i just got the new dashboard today when i put in the Batman game (which is fucking awesome)

well you would know for sure whether or not you got the new dashboard. cause its completely different. if you have tabs like music video, friends etc, that slide sideways, and kinda have a curves on the sides,  then thats the old one. if you have things that move up and down with an avatar, like in the wii, and then you move sideways from each individual one, then its new. either way when you connect it to live, you will have to update it.

batmans not my kinda game, i prefer Call of duty, ufc, fallout 3. pretty much shoot em up games. though im pretty good at halo, i dont really like halo 3, halo 2 was much better in my opinion. but i still play h3 sometimes when there are people over.

i believe the ps3 does have a usb port. why wouldnt they. but im not sure, because i dont own a ps3.

Get the latest media updates (you will need them) and make sure the video on your flash drive is in .avi format and you don't need a really weird-tarded codec to view it.
