Possible Gyms

Habitat:
Tasmania Australia. Was growing on eucalypt mulch

Gills:
light brown in younger ones, ranging from darker into the old ones

Stem:
tough and stringy

Cap:
light brown

Spore print color:
rusty brown

Bruising:
I don't see any

Other information:
smells kind of almondy

Appears to be a Pholiota species.  Not edible or active.

Gymnopilus will have more orange color in the gills and spore print, and won't have a white stem.

okay, gyms spec. is a constant color on the whole mushroom correct? oh and how u been alan? i havent been on in ages.

nope you will be fine my friend, just make sure you dont swallow any, mycologist use the "taste" test all the time in persuit of identification. oh and no country for old men is an awesome movie

im havin a bitch of a time findin b.l.gyms. :mad2:  i know my area isnt the best for actives but they are usually found all over the country.findin hundreds of others mostly galerina autumnalis and some suillus sp.all i seem to get is a lot of ticks and i fuckin hate em..:mad2:
