Stand Up Comedy

I'm on a huuuge stand up comedy binge right now. My favorites are Lewis Black, George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Denis Leary, Greg Proops, and Mitch Hedberg. I'm listening to Bill Hicks go on a rant. =D

I love black humor flled social critics who rant type of comics. Who are some other good ones that fit into my tastes?

And why do some of the greats die so early?

it's a shame how the greats die early, who comes to my mind first is definitely hendrix, but this is about comedy so -

dave chappelle
medberg
hicks
carlin
jello biafra (singer of the dead kennedy's - he's a spoken word guy as well, but it's funny/imaginative/intelligent stuff)
louis ck (whom I saw live, which was great)

Shit, all stand up!  My list would be too long, but Mich hedburg, Lewis black, Dave Attell, eddie izzard, and Jeff Dunham is a few.
Oh can forget Eddie Murphy raw and Richard Prior!!

:lol:  "Now me and my wife are having a fucking argument because of THIS fuckin kid."  :rofl:  I hope he tours Philly sometime soon.  My last (and only) live standup show was Dane Cook, and that was only in hopes of getting laid, which I did not.  I ended up getting frustrated and drank myself stupid.  That's how I punish my dates, if you won't sleep with me you're gonna have to put up with drunk me!  Especially after $100 front row tickets.  Prude.

I like everyone in the comedians of comedy. Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford, Zach Galifianakis, Brian Posehn, David Cross, H. Jon Benjamin. all amazing comedians. Jimmy Pardo's awesome too. He doesn't even tell any jokes he can go on for hours just berating the audience it's awesome.
