Portland shroomerites!

I finally made it over here.  I am loving the neighborhood I moved into.  I am just on the southside of Mt. Tabor.

Is there any gourmet picking around here?

on the other hand I know azures come at the right time, and I know of a few good spots to check out.

Also, anyone play instruments? I need someone to jam with.  I play: Guitar, Sitar, flutes, and hand drums.

I play guitar, and am open to jamming.  I know next to nothing about mushroom picking, but if you know of some good spots for azures, I'd love to check it out.

Awesome dude.  Well they absolutely love rhododendrons, and we so happen to have a large garden :laugh:.

  What level of guitar are you?  I have only been playing a little over a year, and have just now really started to get down all the bar chords, but I began playing by jamming, so I am ok at that.  I am teaching my roomate and hope to learn much from teaching.

I've been playing off and on for about 11 years now.  I've actually kind of regressed a little, but I'm pretty good at rhythm guitar, and I'm okay at lead.

Well, I would love to get back into jamming, I have been working solo for some time now.

I also need to generally just get out and do stuff.  I am starting with a completely fresh friend base.

Im down in Eugene.  Im hoping there will be some shroomerite camping next summer - I want to explore the state.

Also, I want to hit up Mt. Hood when the snow comes.  Either of you snowboarders/skiers?

I was only able to dabble back when I lived in the desert.  Now I want to devote some real time to it.  I bought a bunch of new gear as a graduation present to myself and am going to get a season pass to Willamette Pass since its near Eugene.  I really want to hit up Hood and Bachelor too though, if I can get the time too.

I just moved away from Mt hood. My previous location was 45 mi. from it, and EVERYONE I knew went there almost daily when the snow was good. It was almost annoying.  I guess if you are way into it the culture was good.


I actually moved away from the kite boarder/snowboarder culture. (well to be honest the snowboarders are pretty cool, but the kiters are so elitist and kinda boring people.)

And yes moving is weird, this time it seemed more natural than normal though.  And I have an excellent roommate (who is a shroomerite).

Yeah, I will.  Hopefully I can visit sometime next year.  BTW, some of my friends are in fairly popular bands in the Portland grindcore/hardcore/metal/punk scene.  I'm not into that stuff, but if you are, you might want to check them out.  They're all really cool people.

My roomie is a mid 30's proper englishman :smile:, so issues with deadbeat there.

And leary, I was into the punk scene when I was 16, but that was long ago :P.  Thanks though.

Hey, I live in Portland, but soon going down to Eugene for school (UO).  i ski and play the clarinet...not much good for jamming but pretty decent at both. anyone up for picking (I often pick chantarelles in the Mt. Hood wilderness, now looking for more types) PM me or post. i'll try and remember to check this thread.
