There is a pretty badass rapper from kansas city names tech n9ne giving out his new cd on the internet for free. He likes the idea of file sharing and thinks it helps consumers sniff out bullshit artists without supporting them by buying their cd. Hes really good and should be supported.

One of the cool songs (track 20)has a chorus from "rock me amadaus" only he changes it to "ima playa ima playa". You can download the whole cd at http://therealtechn9ne.com/asp2/download.asp .

A couple of the songs do have an intro talking about his cause, but its tolerable.

I'm a rap fan but Tech Nine is damn near impossible for me to listen to. A friend of mine made me listen to his newest CD and nearing the end I was contemplating suicide. Granted, he does have a few OK songs, but I prefer more underground hip hop then Tech Nine.

That's rap with a silent c. There's a lot of it about.

For years I've not heard any hiphop that's come anywhere close to old classics like Tribe Called Quest, Souls of Mishief, De La Soul, Snoopdog etc. People Under the Stairs are probably the best I've heard. They're really good.

I saw Tech N9ne at some concert I went to this summer... Wasn't too impressed. Then again rap never sounds good in concert(with the exception of Black Eyed Peas and Eminem). I don't think that rappers reherse what they're doing, where as rock people do, thus a better sound at rock concerts.
