IMO its going to take A LOT to have LSD prescriptions in 10 years.

A)  Its nearly impossible to reschedule schedule 1 substances, as in order to be in schedule 1 it must have no medical application.  Therefor it would be tough to argue for its medical application when (according to the government) it has none.

B)  Its nearly impossible for institutions to support this, because LSD and other psychedelics have this quality of de-programming people of institutional values and boundary dissolution, both of which are highly feared by not only institutions but governments too.

What would a medical dose of lsd be? 5mcg? 10mcg? I couldnt imagine people taking their daily dose of lsd at even 50mcg for a whole day... I need more details. I know that big pharmacy loves to push all sorts of drugs. LSD I never thought that they would fuck with... mediLSD FTW

I think if a few legitimate politicians would have a  psychedelic experience- that is what could change the laws.    I wonder if any politicians have tripped?  :confused:

I'd imagine the point is to trip infrequently with a well-prepared sitter on an average dose to gain insight, not to dose daily and get threshold effects.

Threshold effects then not getting off is like getting blue balls.
+ i get genuinely freaked like 1 out of 3 times i notice them hitting because of past experience.

I dropped a sugar cube of unknown strength last week right after a huge steak dinner with bread n all. I had a couple beers and a cigar along with that. Immediately after dosing i took a 5 min walk to the nearest shitter and sat there for about 10 min. Total elapsed time from dose to onset was <25 min. When the threshold effects grabed me (sinus clearing, slight visual/time distortion, rush of warmth, and feeling that i had to shit more when i didn't)
I knew i was fucked because that should have taken way longer.

Lets just say that i was level 4 if not 5 that night, and i knew i would be by the quick and intense onset.
Expecting the cube to be only about 1-2 normal hits i spent some time freaking out fo sho.

I wish i would have been prepared for the craziness before i jumped in. 
I notice that not accurately judging the first effects causes me to be freeked out, thus crossing over is my least favorite part of the trip.

Ive been thinking and I doubt that there is LSD scrips in 10 years... What if they decide there is no medical value with LSD. The dosing/effects are unpredictable and seem to very not onlyfrom person to person but from trip to trip. Im sure one thing the FDA looks for is consistancy of dose/effect.

Prescription LSD would have such a high potential for abuse. I mean look at prescription pain pills. Granted LSD is not physically addictive. How often would people take it for cluster headaches. I'm guessing by the comments in the full article that They only take a light dose infrequently. And for anxiety that's great but who wants to trip in a building with some shrink. My most memorable trips have all started safely in doors, but once high i like to go places and do things. It might be cool if they let you set your environment, but does anyone think they would just let you trip out on crazy art or move in some fashion of self expression to whatever music you want?

They did LSD clinical trials in the 50's with clinical settings...

Doctors are there to help you out man.  So when you start getting all anxious and bad vibes they will ask "whats wrong" and accommodate your desires.

Its not just a free for all in a padded cell.
