haha dudes yall are killing me!!!!! Awesome tub there man and beautiful flush! I cant wait!!!!

These tubs are pretty easy to handle but i did crack two of the substrates due to some harsh handling by me. They take a lot of substrate to get around the 4 inch mark, i used 1.5 bricks of coir per tub with verm coffee and gypsum

Thanks for the rhizo heaven substrate photos ... very, very nice.

.... not to keep harping on the polyfill / fiberfill thing ... but, you got 'batting' which is the same material but manufactured in bats ... fiberous sheets for bulking up quilts etc. .... you want 'stuffing' ... for stuffing into stuffed animals.  It's like the cotton'y stuff you started with but it is made out of poly fibers with are not contamination magnets like an organic material might be.

PE will make you wait.  My fastest regular cubensis will fruit after 5 days.  The PE take about 10 days to fruit and then fruits developed slowly after that.

It is very resistant to neglect ... in fact, it seemed to thrive in set and forget monotubs. When I did mist my developing PE fruits, they developed dark water spots, got blotchy / abort'y .... so I fanned them and left them alone.

We did three 18 gallon (72 qt.) monotubs and one 10 gallon (40 qt.) monotub.

We hit two of the 18 gallon monotubs just right and did 2,094 and 1,921 wet grams.  The other 18 gallon tub did 1,305 wet grams.  The smaller 10 gallon tub did 849 wet grams but had the biggest fruit.  These are 1st flush weights ... all the tubs got trich. after the 1st flushes and that was it.

I can't resist showing off the best tub and the biggest fruit.  Thanks for indulging me.

nice job yo!  Nice rhizos for sure... how'd you prepare the tubs?  Yeah, I was going to say that you need to be more patient than with regular cubes.  10 days is about what I had going on in mine as well... if there's one thing that this hobby will teach you, it's patience.

I was wondering what spawn ratio did you use? Temperature of the room they colonized in? How long from spawning to those first colonized pictures? Pretty sure that info wasn't listed but if it was sorry I missed it.

Awesome dude! I am about to use the same bin method..  Probably around the same size bins.. how much weight in fungi do you guys think each bin would produce? i have alot of hungry friends. a half lb each? a P? I plan on feeding them to my pet elephant so i need to produce ALOT.

Thanks for stopping by everyone. I used 2.5 quarts of spawn per tub. I just mixed it up with the pasteurized substrate and it has been chilling in a 75-80 degree room. I had duck tape over the holes on the ends and the polyfill stuffed tight for colonization.  For fruiting it i loosened the poly and replaced the duck tape, and put a small fan in the room. i get indirect sunlight and CFL light for 12 hours. It took probably 4-5 days intill it looked 90% but i waited another 2 days to throw it into fruiting. I am now misting and fanning whenever i see it needs the extra humidity.

One thing i noticed is that the tubs with the rizo myc were the tubs that i put like an inch of coir over all spawn on top, the other 2 more fluffy looking ones had spawn mixed on top of the substrate, they all took the same time to colonize.

As far as yield for my first grow, i really want 5 ounces from 2 flushes per tub. Once i get my shit down and a nice strain isolate i don't see why i cant get 10 per tub...

Ok i am plannin to do 6 bins around the same size ....
I got 6 of the mycoflour presterilized BRF jars from mycosupply.
Is one jar enough for each bin? they look like they are only 1/2 quart...

Probably not man, i would use minimum 2 quarts. You might end up with contams because it will take a while to colonize. Do you not have a Pressure cooker? If you are serious about this then stop wasting money on those expensive ass jars and do it yourself

Well all the pins are growing very slowly so far, and i dont see any at all in one tub. My FAE and humidity are good and they are also getting sunlight from a well light room. Im not really sure whats goin on, i was thinking they would be doubling in size and growing faster by now. Maybe its the multi spore screwing me over :frown:

So can anyone tell my why my pins look like shit? Lighting is good, my temps are 75-80, my humidity is 90% +, i have been misting and fanning. So why are my pins breaking veil and curling up already? Its been about 3 days since first pins and they are growing extremely slow. My substrate is still moist and squishy. I have a tub with 1 single pin and the other showing none, the other two have tons of little pins which dont seem to be maturing.
