because there is an 'area' out there that looks identical to the video footage of the so-called moon surface, among other things. models of the lunar probe, hanging from wires, questionable lighting, doctored images, etc.

n.asa fucked up so many attempts and were jealous that the russians beat them to the punch regarding the space program. they had to redeem themselves to the american people and the world, so they bullshitted it on TV, which was already a device of wonder in so many homes. baby boomers pretty much believed anything they saw on tv
