Macrolepiota procera prints

I have 30 Macrolepiota procera print fragments to give away.



The prints were taken this fall on aluminum foil.
In total 3 caps were printed and then the foil cut to squares of around 1-2 square inch. Each print contains more than enough spores for agar work.
According to several sources outdoor cultivation of M. procera should be possible.
"In the garden, they are likely to flourish in composting areas of either kitchen scraps or lawn clippings. Mix the topmost layer of compost with some peat moss and mix in either cultivated grain spawn or the water and trimmings from last night's Parasol dinner. Cover with leaves to retain moisture."

What do you have to do to get a print?

You should be capable of agar work and grain transfers.

The first 30 people who post in this thread, qualify for a print.

Since this time the postal cost accumulates quite a bit, I will have to ask you for 2$ per print to cover my expenses.

i'll take a sample from u but will have to preserve it till late winter or spring before i do anything with it. if this is acceptable, i'll be able to include something extra to cover the F.V. u sent me... let me know...

by the way, what is the material u print to? is this something all spore suppliers should consider using in order to begin to standardize that niche industry? just a thought... peace

There are around 20 still left.

The printing material ion this case is aluminum foil, although I prefer glass, followed by plastic squares and then index cards.

i was referring to the stock u used for the flammulina velutipes u sent out. glass is great but ur plastic works out well. a print can be veiwed easily without exposing it, it's easy to mail and was definitely easy to work with. is this a lab supply item? is it static resistant? or something as simple as overhead projector or copy acetate? thanks

The same thing happened to me when anno was sending me a f. velluptipes print. It had been gone through, taped shut, and the print was missing. Thanks again, so much for the replacement, anno.
