Do you watch the show How it's Made on the discovery channel.

I was real baked last night and watching it and realized that all the machines they show making shit is like the ultimate rube goldberg device. seems like something you would be into. who know.s

I love that show, I wish they'd do one on pencils. I must know how they get the pencil led in there!

It comes out of the pencil-paste tube like that, before they sun-dry sheets of them in orbit around mars.

or how they take the throw away cellphones and take the recieving wire and connect it thru the bag and connect it just slightly to the negative wire.. Then they get far away and wait for a crowd of people to walk buy and they call the number.

Maybe I missed something but, we are talking about the show "How It's Made". They dont do stunts or skits or anything. They just show you how shit is mass produced.

I just noticed this thread!

Okay here is the deal with How it's Made:
I love it!
I usually like to watch it really high.

But here is the weird part.
I THINK the have very subversive sex jokes
and a very very subtle sense of humor.
Maybe it is just my imagination,
but I swear man, that show can be very sarcastic
funny.

It will give me ideas to try to duplicate different senses
of motion;
The thing is I do NOT know what I would try to build
if i had access to all those machine parts...probably like
a crazy moving sculpture that emitted the oddest and fantastical movements and noise.

Till now, though, marbles are stil fascinating.
I'd love to play with electricity and gears but I would need to learn more about it first.
I should make a "How it's made" Rube Goldberg video
and rip off their intro and music...etc...

the jokes are so dry but thats what makes them so funny. No one would laugh at those jokes evar but thats why its humorous.
