Dude Sushi-Go-Rounds are the SHIT!

They have a little motorized track that goes along the bar and you just grab what looks good as it goes by.  It's sorta like an all you can eat buffet, but way cooler.

LOL Yea I need some training in that area but I really want to develop my palate.  I envy the guys on the travel channel that get to walk through  those busy markets in other countries where people are frying up everything under the sun.  I feel like I'm missing out.  These people can make a meal out of an entire pig or boar, whereas we just eat the same ham, bacon, ribs, etc...  They'll use the stomach, organs, and a lot of other juices and flavorings to make a broth for a soup, bbq, stew, stir fry, whatever, they use the whole animal and the results look delectable. 

If it's anything that's driving me to get out and see the world, it's food.  :awesome:

By all means get out and see the world, but IME there's a reason we stick to the bits we stick to most times.  I've definitely had some good weird food, some "interesting" weird food, and plenty of just god awful disgusting stuff.

Then again some of my favorite foods are weird things that most other people don't eat.

There is a deli in town but I'm not sure if it's the kind that does any work there or if it's all in shipments or whatnot but I'd be willing to ask the butcher to save me some cuts of things I haven't had yet.  I'd love to try tripe and chitluns, but only if they're cleaned well.  I've read some pretty bad reviews where you're basically eating shit if it's not cleaned right. 

Does anyone know of any online vendors that will ship this kind of food internationally?  Like with dry ice and whatnot?  If I can't afford to go to the food I'll pay to have it sent to me.  I'd want it done up by the pros, I mean I'm a good cook but I'm a complete new when it comes to properly saucing and cooking up various entrails and whatnot. 

I wanna win one of those travel channel contests.  Or maybe I'll just start planning ahead and take a 2 week long trip to Thailand in a few years.  :awesome:

If you haven't tried tripe yet... get yourself some Phở with tripe in it. If you have any vietnamese places where you are..

I usually get it with flank.. but tripe is always an option in every pho restaurant. Shit is delicious.. and cheap. Where I go it's $4 for a giant bowl.

I saw that stuff on TV too and I'd absolutely love to.  I have to do some googling..  I might be able to just take a bus to the city and hit the market.  It's a fun word to say too.  :lol

It's fucking good.. as far as cheap and filling foods go.. you can't get much better. One bowl satiates me, and tastes fucking delicious. I used to eat it all the time when I was poor.
