I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

It's amazing how many people walk right past, or even look straight at them, and have no idea what they are. My favorite spot ALWAYS has several people sitting right next (sometimes on) the subbs, makes it hard to collect without someone realizing what they are and ransacking the patch.

Those look nice Cactu! I have trouble finding subbs growing on lawns and whatnot.

And I've never found subbs with blueing on the base

Nice finds, enjoy! :mushroom2::peace::heart:

I agree. Notice how the gills are protruding? Subbs don't do that. They have closely packed gills that never fall below the cap margin. Not to mention your stems don't have the swirling pattern, and subs are a dung loving species. Not much dung in suburbia. Those are definitely P. Foes. Those same ones grow in my yard. They are not active and luckily not poisonous. You all need to read up on your subb identifying characteristics.
