Urban Legends about marijuana convictions

#10510207 - 06/15/09 01:27 PM (17 years, 4 months ago)

There's this disgruntled smoker that always gets on his soapbox about marijuana law stating. "I've heard of a guy getting 20 years in prison for one joint!"

Are these kinds of statements true?

I mean, if I get pulled over in texas and I have one joint confiscated, will I go to the pen with no prior record?

Why do people state these kinds of things?

2 oz or less* class B misdemeanor 180 days $2,000

Thats fucking ridiculous. Looks like Alaska is the place to live. You can have an oz in your home and less than 100 plants and not be breaking the law. Kick ASS!
