I have been enjoying my solo time.  Friends want to fix me up but no thanks.  It wouldn't work anyway.  I can talk to just about anyone and be friendly.  But if I thought it was a "fix up" I wouldn't be able to say a damn thing.

Mandrake, I think you've stumbled onto something Big...

Last night, when I was stoned on some very good herb, I had an epiphany...

I thought about how you Mandrake said that you "Haven't had sex in about 6 months. The thing is, I don't really care." and the fact that I'm 21 and still a virgin and really has no describe of losing it any time soon.

Don't you realize what's happening?!

We are "overriding" the most basic, most fundamental instinct of ALL life on Earth: The Procreation of Offspring and the Continuation of our Species!!!

Of course, that's not to say you want a baby, but the fact you are not pursuing sex actively means sex is no longer a strong enough "motivator" to want to continue the human species as it once was.

My theory, which is NOT based on scientific research, but instead based on logical reasoning and speculation, is that humans are reaching their carrying capacity on Earth (aka too much people for the Earth's resources to support) and some males are aware of this and are automatically "turning off" their instinctual desire to have sex and reproduce until a balanced population size is established. Just a wild theory I came up with.

Pretty crazy stuff.

how have you not had sex for six months, but still be a virgin. doesn't that mean you haven't had sex at all?

i don't think i'm good enough for the type of girl i'd be exclusive with.
does that make sense?  i have to work on myself before someone else.
meanwhile, i fill the void with previous lays, so to not increase my roster.
but i'm a guy, so i'm lucky.  the '09 draft just hit the market.

Oh that was a typo, I was quoting a statement from Mandrake's OP AND a fact about me, using it as a compare/contrast agruement.

And you're right about the condom, but your missing the big picture: He currently no longer desires to seek out sex of ANY kind, lame condom sex or otherwise.

I find that pretty profound.

But being a loner comes at a cost...

I've noticed when I'm a loner for awhile, and then I suddenly interact with someone I know or a brand-new person (guy or girl, don't matter), its like that interaction is a drug. I love it when I'm in the moment, having a conversation with either a girl or guy. Then once the interaction ends, I crave it as if I were going thru withdrawals.

Yeah... we are overpopulated, but I highly doubt that's a factor in anyones sex drive. The primal desire to have sex and the act of producing babies are two similar, but different things. There is also this wonderful thing called "birth control", have you heard of it?

The human species as a whole will always want to procreate and sex is a basic instinct and carnal need we all share.

Now if you haven't gotten laid in forever, and you don't feel the need.. that's not the human species.. that's you. Once you have it you want more. Once it's not around you could care less, usually. That's how it generally works for me.

HUMANS HAVE SEX!

Yeah, I tend to think that way too.
I don't really know why, because I like to think that I'm a pretty attractive/intelligent/cool person,
but I always start thinking that I'm not good enough for one reason or another.

Yeah, that Social Tolerance is a B!tch!

But, I can deal with that damn tolerance by interacting is cycles: couple days of total lonerism and a couple of days of face-to-face social interaction.

It seems to keep my tolerance low enough that any social contact gives me that high unmatched by any drug on Earth. And I'm pretty happy with it.

yeah man.  it's not a physical thing.  i'm togged to the bricks.
it's a financial thing.  i have to lock down my securities first.
but even then.  it's my values.  i have friends with the nuclear family.
they hate it.  i mean sure they're swimming in love and yada yada.
but... they still look at me as a banana split on a warm day.  envy.
all my sex and travel.  i doubt they'd trade me, but they'd do it over 4 sure.

i guess i do not know what i want.  i'm gonna be one of those who "oops" his way into marriage.
