Plant ID (Pedicularis or Dagga?) *SOLVED: Monarda citriodora
    #10398481 -

These were growing down in Austin Texas. Seemed like a very intersting flowering plant, so I took some pictures and a cutting. Anyone have any idea what it could be? My guess was some kind of dagga, or maybe pedicularis but I doubt it's pedicularis now.

Yeah, I just tried smoking some of the flower. It could be mildly active.

I took a cutting to grow. It has an interesting smell/taste. I'll get better pictures tomorrow, and in the future provide a better bioassay.

the pedicularis family is large doesn't look a common one if it is one looks like a prairie type place where you got it from though so definitely plausible.

Cool thanks man.

Here's a website I found on most of the known uses for it and it's known active constituents.
http://www.globalherbalsupplies.com/herb_information/bergamot.htm

I'll try out some tea with it some time.

Whoa buddy. Stop smoking unidentified plants. Some plants contain VERY deadly toxins.

Glad you got it sorted out. Good ID GYM! Welcome to the Ethno Garden.
